For example, did you know that low voltage lighting does not necessarily mean that it will save you money or use less energy? It’s a common misconception, however, it actually uses the same amounts of voltage and energy as standard lighting, but the power is stepped down through a transformer. When it was designed, it provided slightly brighter lights than halogen bulbs but with more recent advancements and the benefits that come with it, has since made LED’s (no – not me! Light Emitting Diodes!) a more appealing option.
