Futurism Reloaded. If you had lived, say 60 or 70 years ago, how would you have imagined your future home to look?
What we thought of as science fiction is now a reality. We aspired towards space-age travel and man going to the moon, now our homes are inspired by space-age nostalgia with a galactic 80s vibe!
Their vision of the future is our interior design inspiration and reality!
Advancements in technology have created a world that is beyond contemplation.
People can move seamlessly from one application to another. Virtual and augmented reality stretch out possibilities beyond our imagination.
Trips around the atmosphere have become a reality if you can afford them! The first crewed vehicles have already been sent to the edge of space.
Entering the realms of a digital age, we relish in the reflections of cosmic reality.
Yesterday’s vision is today’s vocation.
Integrated LED
Innovative lighting designs now allow us to create a spectacle in our homes. Integrated LED lighting is typically paired with modern elegance – with contemporary shapes and creative concepts. As we embrace technological advancements, integrated LED lighting continues to impress with bold and edgy designs – adding a futuristic touch to modern homes.
The Yoy range captures a creative illusion where your wall becomes the shade. This digitally inspired design allows for an infusion of modern lighting design with sci-fi influence. Futurism Reloaded is not solely concerned with visual aesthetics. As we push on into a new technological revolution, we are becoming aware of the impact we have on the environment. The future may be now, but we plan for a clean planet for the next generations. LED lighting provides an energy-saving alternative to the previous options and is longer lasting than ever before, giving peace of mind that you are doing everything you can to better the world we live in.

Luxury Aesthetics
With lighting available in many different shapes and sizes, the opal globe display remains a prominent display of retro nostalgia. A perfect sphere and a symmetrical shape can offer a calming yet vibrant display – perfect for creating a spectacle in homes around the UK. A sense of modern luxury when paired with bright and reflective coloured finishes: perfectly paired with gold and contemporary chromes
Perfect Balance
An explosion of style in your dining or living room. The retro sputnik design complete with opal glass globes adds a theatrical flair that screams modern decadence. A proportionate ceiling light can come in a variety of different styles and, sometimes, the unbalanced can be the favourable option. A long, linear, ceiling light with a collection of retro bubbles or an angled display of futuristic opulence – the options available to create the Futurism Reloaded home are vast and exciting.

Shaped Wall Washers
With the introduction of integral LEDs, we can now experiment with the effects of light. Rather than just ensuring that there’s enough light throughout the room, we can experiment with light and shadows.
Backlit walls create a subtle, relaxed effect that’s synonymous with today’s cosy living. Take the time to reflect and relax. Dream big – make it happen.
Wall washers create a three-dimensional element to any space – suiting the augmented reality trend that’s sweeping the nation. With crisp white hexagons and textured gold circles, the geometric shapes available offer a contemporary-retro style that looks great in living rooms, hallways and dining areas.

Coloured, Shaped and Patterned Glass Lighting
Bring back the lava lamp nostalgia… without a lava lamp. Coloured, moulded and textured glass create imperfect perfection. The Melt range by Tom Dixon Lighting for example looks to create a visually pleasing display with a uniquely warped design. Take your living room into space with a collection of dark-coloured glass lamps and ceiling pendants.
Smooth oval shapes in a deep green, blue or orange can create a galaxy-styled ambience which, when paired with dimmable bulbs and switches can be used to create a magical display of relaxation.
Painted glass by The Lighting Book in the style of planets, in an orbital cluster, suits the trend perfectly. Combining the stylish, galaxy globe design with earthy tones of greys and browns in a natural glossy finish, creating a cosmic reality where science meets art.
Clear glass can work with this trend, however, the shape of the glass is what adds the Futurism Reloaded touch. Quirky shapes and laboratory-inspired designs enhance the theme.
Technical Lighting
Lights that bring you a little more than just light… Technical lighting. In our busy lives, we’re always seeking convenience and something that helps make life a little bit easier.
Technical lighting offers just that, not only do they bring light into our lives but they also function in other ways. From simple storage solutions to mobile chargers, this multi-functional lighting trend is on hand to help.
With a life that has us constantly on the move there’s one such device we’re prone to keep with us at all times… A mobile phone.
Sometimes this little extension of our arm fails to remain as charged up as us ourselves, so somewhere else convenient to charge is something we wouldn’t sniff at! We have an ever-growing range of lighting, and we’re beginning to see the introduction of built-in USB slots.
If you wish to delve into the world of technical lighting, we have an excellent blog that highlights our favourite high-tech lights here: Lighting Trend: Technical Lights
