How to get the right shade size for your floor lamp:
Most floor lamp shades will have a diameter of between 40cm and 50cm. Ideally, the shade should be at least double the diameter of the widest part of the floor lamp itself. Ensure that you choose a shade without a fixed gimble (sometimes referred to as a reversible gimble) as without this, they are only suitable for use on ceiling suspensions.
