Lighting that does good for people and the planet.

Sustainable Lighting
Lighting made from sustainable materials such as Bamboo, Cork, Jute, Eco Linen, Recycled paper, Recycled glass, and even old car tyres which otherwise would have no further use and cannot be recycled.
As well as using materials that can be or have been recycled, an aim of the brand is to replenish resources. A tree is planted every time a light is purchased. They also support WakaWaka Foundation which provides solar power to allow people without electricity allowing them to live off grid.
Off Grid means not using electricity for power. Solar power is when sun rays are used as a form of energy. You are probably more familiar with solar lighting. Solar is a gift to people living in low income countries where this kindness gives access to education and communication. This in turn gives opportunity to generate income.
Doing good is an important part of the brand. The vast majority of sustainable lighting and lamps are made by a small local crafts people in Vietnam. Each light takes between 3-6 hours to be hand woven using traditional methods. Working with local people they are careful to work around tasks such as harvest time. For this reason production is low to allow for activities that are important to the community. Pay is fair and conditions are good.
Truly beautiful lighting is every way, the ethos and values gives us good vibes and we are delighted to be stockist of the handcrafted sustainable lighting ranges.
Bamboo Lighting
Bamboo Lighting gives a fabulous quality of light, it’s environmentally sustainable and a delightful addition to an interior space. The ranges are all named after places in the world where inspiration for the creative designs sprang.
Materials
Nearly all the materials are plant based with the exception of glass. Even tyres, whilst not recyclable, comes from the rubber tree. Therefore we are particularly impressed with this design as it gives a second chance life to a material that cannot be recycled, ingenious use of waste.
Expect to see this brand grow and we would like you join us to spread the word that Good & Mojo are now available in the UK at LightingCompany.co.uk
